The Overall Objective
The main objective of the organization is to assist in poverty reduction programme of the country by conducting various community based action research programmes particularly in the rural areas where majority of downtrodden population lives with very low profiles of socio-economic existence.
The Specific Objectives,
the specific objective lies to;

ensure social mobilization services as an integral component for all targeted progrmmes. |

integrate holistic nature of interventions with technology, infrastructure and institution building.

| build partnership to solicit support for poverty alleviation programming for development.

| FUTURE VISION OF THE ORGANIZATION : |

| MDI has realized that the community organizations are important forum and avenue for driving community activities at the ground. The sustainability of any development projects depends on active participation of its members. Poverty is specific to particular areas and communities, which need to be addressed in holistic manner with infrastructure, technology and institutional interventions. Poor, given some outside support have been able to create capital (physical, human and social) and use it efficiently to improve their quality of life and achieve self-reliance. Complete poverty eradication in an area, which has limited resource base, human and institutional capacity, physical inaccessibility, is difficult in the short run. For poverty eradication sustained effort on a long-term basis would be required in order not to dissipate the effort that has been made by the support organization on the ground. In order to continue the effort outside support particularly from donor agencies as well as from local bodies would be required to achieve desired result. |
